Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology practitioners believe a healthy lifestyle involves movement.  What is Applied Kinesiology? Simply put, it is a diagnostic system that uses basic muscle testing to evaluate areas of dysfunction within your body. This is a non-invasive method of evaluating body function that is unique in the healing arts.

The applied kinesiology diagnostic system is based upon the balance of the three major factors of health which are chemical, neurological and structural.  Dr. Dixon, who is Certified by the American College of Applied Kinesiology, uses muscle testing as a primary feedback mechanism to examine how your body is functioning.

Applied Kinesiology, the blend of anatomoy, physiology and biomechanics

Muscle testing is based on the essential premise of applied kinesiology, which is that every organ dysfunction is accompanied by a weakness in a specific corresponding muscle in what is termed the “viscerosomatic” relationship. If a muscle test weak, he then will determine why that muscle is not functioning properly and suggest a course of treatment.

Heavy Metal Detoxification

Long-term exposure to high levels of environmental “heavy metals” such as lead, mercury, aluminum and arsenic can cause acute or chronic toxicity resulting in damaged or reduced mental and central nervous function and damage to vital organs.

Some of the most common warning signs that you are struggling with heavy metal toxicity include:

  • Chronic fatigue
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Neurological disorders
  • Depression, Bi-polar and Anxiety
  • Prepare muscles for stretching and sport
  • Insomnia

Chelation therapy is the most effective way to reduce serious heavy metal exposure. If you would like to determine if heavy metal detoxification might help you, come and see us.

Chiropractic Care

The goal in manual chiropractic care remains the same: the use of a therapist’s hands to relax and stretch joints and muscles to provide pain relief and restore proper joint operation at the joint itself and throughout the body.

Detoxification Genomics

Detoxification Genomics uses the science of genomic testing to identify gene mutations (SNPs) and the risk they pose for chemical sensitivities, oxidative stress, and ability to handle various medications. Nutrition and lifestyle-based treatment protocols are available to assist in addressing identified weaknesses.

Specialized Dietary Management

Specialized dietary management is the practice of providing nutritional options for individuals and groups with diet concerns by providing education, guidance, support, and structure necessary for successful weight loss and type 2 diabetes reversal.

Food Allergy Testing

Skin tests or blood tests are reliable methods of food allergy testing and can rule in or out food allergies. Some people do test “allergic” to a food (by skin or blood testing) and yet have no symptoms when they eat that food. To confirm test results, your allergist may ask you to do a challenge test. This means that you have to eat or drink small portions of a food in increasing amounts over a period of time to see if an allergic reaction occurs.

Clinical Nutrition

Clinical nutrition is the study of the relationship between food and a healthy body. More specifically, we look at nutrients and how they are digested, absorbed, transported, metabolized, stored, and eliminated by the body and the influence these factors have on your health and disease.
